Step-by-Step Instructions
Trace: Select your pattern and fabrics. Using a marking tool or pencil, trace your templates onto the paper side of the FlexiFuse.
  • Note: Ensure you trace your templates reversed or mirrored, especially for lettering or asymmetrical designs. 
Rough Cut: Cut out the traced templates roughly, leaving about 1/4 inch of paper around your drawn lines. 
First Fuse: Lay the glue side (the rough or textured side) of the FlexiFuse down against the wrong side (back) of your fabric.
  • Ironing Settings: Set your iron to its highest heat or cotton setting, without steam.
  • Pressing technique: Use a stamping motion—press and hold the iron for 8 to 10 seconds on each section until completely bonded. Do not glide the iron. Let the fabric cool completely. 
Cut Precisely: Cut out your exact shape directly on your traced lines through both the fabric and the fused paper backing. 
Peel & Place: Peel the paper backing off the back of your fabric. Place the now fusible-backed fabric onto your background material in the desired position. 
Final Fuse: Press firmly with a hot, dry iron for another 10 seconds to permanently glue the shape to your background. 
Stitch: Because FlexiFuse is a temporary-to-semi-permanent adhesive, stitching is recommended for durability. Finish the edges with a straight, zigzag, or buttonhole stitch.
